Training wheels in full motion

This was my first wedding as an MC as I was yet to qualify as a Celebrant; the legal duties were undertaken by the very capable Margaret Collier.

The Chapel at the Mission to Seafarers is a true gem in the Melbourne CBD, ancient timbers and sea-themed stained-glass windows make this space both intimate and serene.

Natalie is an artist who I had known for some years; Scott was a vigneron who had honed his skills in France – very handy for the catering!

Watching a professional such as Margaret oversee the paperwork emphasised to me the nature of a contemporary wedding, that rigorous attention to detail is crucial, as is generating a truly welcome embrace to all who participate in such happy events.
