A beautiful, tough one

 This was my first official wedding following my completion of Celebrant training. And it was tough. Carey was terminally ill but he and Lisa, his partner of some decades, were determined to have a close, simple and ultimately deeply moving ceremony in their back yard, with their son Tom acting as ring-bearer.

Yes, there were tears – lots – but to see the true twinkle of delight in Carey and Lisa’s eyes made it so much more bearable and memorable.

An absolute privilege to have been entrusted with this very private expression of love.
